Purplepops.COM이라고 불러주세요

퍼플팝스를 블로그로 옮긴지 얼마 안되어 다시 이사를 해야했다.
purplepops.net –> purplepops.com

고쳐진것도 아닌데 왜 닫았냐고, 닫았으면 고객에게 이멜이 나가는게 상식 아니냐고 하니까 “To be honest with you, if it’s a technical issue and we can’t solve it in a first try, it’s really difficult to resolve.”

앞으로 purplepops.com이 메인 도메인이 되겠고, purplepops.net으로도 연결이 되도록 해뒀다.

즐겨찾기에 저장시켜두신 분들은 purplepops.COM으로 업뎃 시켜주세요~

    Hey, looks like you also dumped Aplus.net. Yeah, very disappointing.. they were really good for few years but not anymore. Who did you change it to?
    Are you also going to change the Yale church website hosting as well?

    윽.. 이것도 은근 노가다인데, 고생 많으시네요 여러가지로.
    솔직히 그런 커스터머써포트 답변 첨 들어봅니다. 이런 네가지 같은 답변이 있답니까.. -_-;;
    저도 우왕좌왕하다가 제로보드를 쓰고 있는 이상 그냥 한국호스팅으로 하는게 편하겠다 결론 보고
    그냥 한국호스팅으로 하고 있어요. 이번에 쓰고 계시는 호스팅업체는 어딘가요?
    저도 서비스 리뉴얼할때 참고하고 싶어요.
    수고 많으셨습니다!

    Handymango, I’m now with GoDaddy. That’s where Fifteendots is and I’ve been happy with their customer service.
    Speaking of the church website, that’s the most problematic-the site’s basically broken. We’re having another meeting this Sunday. I have proposed migrating it to a new server many times (and also ditching zeroboard at the same time), but with that much data and customization, I’m not sure if we can pull it off without you (hint hint).

    pebble님, 저도 한국 호스팅 생각하다 tech support도 그렇고 같은 나라에서 하는게 좋겠다 싶어서 GoDaddy로 굳혔어요. 완전 황당하더라고요.

    hmmm… what’s wrong with the church website… seems to be normal now.
    I did fix the EM website while back and luckily it wasn’t too bad as how they broke my handymango.com website.
    We don’t have that much customization for KM website, just the sermon videos I think. The rest is zeroboard 4. Why do you want to ditch zeroboard? Do you know any other good engine? Maybe upgrade to XE? but I haven’t studied XE yet…

    I’m not sure if moving to another hosting for KM is good idea since it will be LOT of work and aplus does provide plenty of spaces for our archives of videos and audio files.

    yeah… I’m not sure how we can migration zeroboard data to other engine either… I don’t know how you migrated your site to wordpress… was it easy?

    Handymango, the problem is that none of the php include work.(Leftnav not showing) And we had to temporarily move header and footer files to an external server because for some reason they can’t be recognized on the same server. That’s one last issue Aplus needs to fix but for the last month, they’ve been blaming it on Korean language.
    We’ve had to fix so many little things in the past during every minor server upgrades they did w/o notification and it’s really been frustrating when we’re dependent on a developer JSN who’s not quite familiar with this site (or zeroboard for that matter).
    I tried XE on purplepops before going WordPress, and I even thought of going Drupal. It’ll just be so much work either way.

    I found a php script that lets you migrate ZB data to wordpress smoothly. You can refer to my Blog Update Log(in the sidebar) if you want to read about my stressful couple days.

    hahaha.. i just read your Blog Update Log… sounds like you had many sleepless nights and heartaches.

    The KM website’s php include should be fairly easy thing to fix. I will take a look at the left nav issue when i get a chance soon. Still the same ftp user and password, right?

    I heard lot of good things about Drupal but I have never seen it or worked with it.
    It’s great that you were able to find a migration tool from zb to wordpress and I can’t believe you figured out the Korean language problem. I wanted to do UTF-8 for Korean side of my website so I can always display both English and Korean sites in UTF-8 but i had so many issues and gave up on it :) So I’m sticking with EUC-KR for now… I sent you an email with small favor for my website :)

    몇년전에 제가 애먹었던 서비스 업체 중 GoDaddy 도 있었는데;;;
    좋아졌나보네요.. @.@;;
    지금은 미국이 아니니.. 에휴. 저는 그냥 한국호스팅을 이용해야할라나봐요.
    근데 워드프레스로 이동하는데 유용한 php 를 찾으셨다니 대단하세요!
    미국에서 있을땐 몰랐는데 여기선 로딩이 조금 걸려서 워드프레스로 옮기려는 생각
    중단되었지만, 다시 미국으로 돌아가면 혜원님께 여쭈어봐야겠어요.
    암턴 여러모로 여러 사이트 때문에 고생 많으셨어요. 좋은 주말 되세요!

    Haewon,

    Maybe you should write an article on how you changed the EUC-KR to UTF-8. I would be interested to see what/how you did it. I tried to convert it once but still had some issues.

    BTW, if you look at my About page, you will understand what handymango stands for ;)
